ROUND TABLE II: THE IDENTITY OF A PERSON OVER TIME IN COSMODERN TIMES

Josephine PAPST

Graz, Austria

Abstract:

The human being sub species eternitatis enjoyed her and his identity over time since those days when human beings came into existence on this earth – no matter at what time this happened. There is no need that the identity of a person over time is formulated explicitly or grasped implicitly and exemplified in the various kinds in everyday life, and so forth.

The human being sub species eternitatis is the genuinely creative and responsible human being developing based on her and his good faith.

Based on the insights generated in the Round Table I about the essential human feature of the identity of a person over time the question arises whether or not Basarab Nicolescu’s conception of cosmodernity is a possible path that provides the appropriate conditions for the demands of human beings sub species eternitatis in all its manifolds features.
If the answer is “yes”: What are the limits of such a path.
If the answer is “no”: Why?
If the answer is neither “yes” nor “no”: How can this answer be justified?
